LAHORE: Bearish trend prevailed in Lahore Stock Exchange on Monday as it shed 23.18 points, following the LSE-25 index opened with 4377.86 and closed at 4354.88 points.
The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 1.785 million shares to close against previous turnover of 2.081 million shares, showing a downward slide of 296,500 shares. While, out of the total 76 active scrips only 6 moved up, 44 remined equal with 26 shed values.
Sui Southern Gas Company Limited, Engro Foods Limited and Lalpir Power Limited were Major Gainer of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 1.17, Rs 0.51 and Rs 0.15 respectively.
Fauji Fertilizer Company, Adamjee Insurance Company and D.G.Khan Cement Company lost their per share value by Rs 3.41, Rs 1.61 and Rs 0.65 respectively.
The Volume Leader of the day included Pakistan International Airline Corporation with 601,500 shares, NIB Bank Limited with 325,000 shares and The Bank of Punjab Limited with 261,000 shares.
