PASCO allowed to import 0.2mn tons of wheat

Wheat CropISLAMABAD: Maj. General Shafqat Sohail has said on Monday that PASCO would buy 1.3 million tons of wheat in this season.

He said that PASCO would wholly focus on the low end farmers so that they do not suffer any kind of loss, a private news channel reported.

Sohail said that 35 billion rupees were arranged to buy wheat. He said that PASCO would buy wheat from 15 districts of Punjab and three districts of Sindh and 201 centers were established in this regard.

He said that talks were underway with Bangladesh, Oman, Egypt and Afghanistan on import of wheat.
