As per reports, Google is making efforts to introduce Snapchat-inspired news story style.

Dubbed as ‘Stamp’, Google is producing the similar branded-media content feature like Snapchat, which will reportedly feature publishers including Vox Media, CNN, Mic, The Washington Post and Time. According to a report in The Wall Street Journal, the company will probably announce the service by next week.

The service is created around Goggle’s faster-loading AMP mobile webpages hence the name: STories + AMP = Stamp, reports Engadget.

The news stories could reportedly be several swipeable slides encompass text, photos and video. A Google spokesman informed The Wall Street Journal, “Ever since the beginning of AMP we've constantly collaborated with publishers, and are working on many new features.”

Instead of keeping the posts in the application only, Google will push Stamp stories to search results and various other Google products and might also be on their own publisher’s sites.

According to a Google’s spokesperson, “The success of the open source AMP project is down to the constant collaboration with publishers that involves working early on upcoming features. We don't have anything to announce at the moment but look forward to sharing more soon.”

Google is not the first one to introduce news stories. Apple has its own ‘News’, Facebook contains ‘Instant Articles’, Snapchat has ‘Discover’ and now Google is about to come up with ‘Stamp’.
