ECP establishes overseas voting directorate to resolve voting rights matter

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan has established an Overseas Voting Directorate in the commission for research on the subject and to deal with matters relating to overseas voting.

The Directorate will further be responsible for coordination with all stakeholders on the subject, said spokesman of the ECP.

ECP also assigned the post of director overseas voting to a Grade 19 officer, Sohail Iqbal, he added.

He further stated that Sohail Iqbal will also act as focal person in connection with matters of overseas voting.
