ISLAMABAD: Four more newly-elected Members of National Assembly, including former Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Babar Nawaz, Riaz-ul Haq Judge and Shahzia Soomro Friday took oath by pledging loyalty to the country and the Constitution.
Acting Speaker National Assembly Murtaza Javed Abbasi administered the oath to the newly elected members as the proceedings of the 25th sessions started.
Later, the MNAs signed the roll of members as required by the rules. Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Babar Nawaz are elected on Pakistan Muslim League (N) tickets in by elections while Riaz-ul Haq Judge contested election as independent candidate but joined the ruling PML-N. Shahzia Soomro belongs to PPP and elected MNA on women reserve seat.
Murtaza Abbasi congratulated all the newly elected members.
Earlier, the Assembly hall resounded with the slogans:"Dheko Dehko Kon Aaya..Sher Aaya Sher Aaya when Ayaz Sadiq stepped in the house.
Besides chanting slogans in favour of the former speaker, the MNAs also rose from their seats and shook hands with him.
