Meanwhile four more ships scheduled to load/offload containers, 20,000 tonnes wheat and 49,729 tonnes diesel oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy remained at the Port at 54% on Friday where a total of seven ships namely C.V Glory, C.V MSC Magal, M.V Alaska-II, M.V Mass Merit, M.T North Fighter and M.T Mako are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, rice, canola seeds, phosphoric acid and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood 78,213 tonnes, comprising 58,010 tonnes import and 20,203 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1,850 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port.
Container ship Glory is expected to sail on Saturday.
C.V Kaethe Rickmers carrying containers is expected to take berth at Container Terminal on Saturday, March 26.
