Shipping activity at Port Qasim

Berth occupancy was observed at the Port Qasim fifty percent on Thursday where seven ships namely C.V Lantau Arrow, C.V NYK Kai, M.V Thurgau, M.V Ocean Star, M.V Ana Dorothea, M.T Global Aker and M.T Bow Sagami are currently at PQA berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, fertilizer, phosphoric acid and palm oil during last 24 hours.

 

A cargo volume of 56,659 tonnes, comprises 35,529 tonnes imports and 21,130 tonnes exports inclusive containerized cargo carried in 1,677 containers (916 imports and 761 exports TEUs) were handled at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

 

Two container ships 'Lantau Arrow' and 'NYK Kai' sailed out to sea on Friday morning while on edible oil carrier 'Bow Sagami' is expected to sail on same day afternoon.

 

M.T IVY Galaxy carrying 18,000 tonnes edible oil is expected to take berth at Liquid Cargo Terminal on Friday (today), while C.V MSC Land and M.T Stolt Stream are due to arrive at Port Qasim on same day and oil tanker 'Vermilion' is due to arrive on Saturday.
