Speaking at a floor of the provincial assembly, here on Thursday, he said that huge export of cattle, poultry and frozen meat to Afghanistan making difficult to meet the local demand. There was need to bring 50 percent in the quota of animal export to Afghanistan, he demanded.
Chief Minister said that the provincial government had clearly issued directives to Food, and Livestock departments to check smuggling of cattle to neighbouring Afghanistan. He said that officials involved in such practice have been removed.
"We would not take any step to suffer own people and meet the requirements of others," he said.
About the imposition of tax on loading and unloading stuffs in district Bannu raised by the leader of opposition Akram Khan Durrani, he said that the restriction had imposed for six months under the local government ordinance 2005, saying that the tax was also being implemented in district Kohat and Lakki Marwat as well.
The issue will be resolved shortly as it was under consideration, he maintained.
He expressed the view that the Tehsil Municipal Administration had have faced number of issues and vowed that the government wants to stand TMA on its own feet by removing all hurdlers and issues.
He expressed the hope that all pending issues would be addressed with the passage of time. Regarding the martyred compensation package, he said that the government had amended the lengthy and difficult procedure of the disbursement of the package, curtailing the sixth month long process in to couple of weeks only.
The credit goes to present government to enhance martyrdom package, he said and added that most of sustain and minor injured had compensated.
He reiterated that the government top priority is to restore peace and stability in the province, About unfair distribution of resources amongst MPAs', he said that the government had made no discrimination with elected representatives and extended funds on equal and merit basis.
