Meanwhile two more ships C.V Saigon and M.V Ismail Deeb scheduled to load/offload containers and cement also arrived at outer anchorage at Port Qasim on same day.
Berth occupancy was maintained at the Port at 43% on Wednesday where six ships namely C.V CMA CGM Latour, C.V CMA CGM Chopan, M.V Pagona, M.V Sonoma, M.T Bom Chin Genie and M.T Karachi are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, canola seeds, palm oil and furnace oil during last 24 hours.
Cargo handling registered an upward trend at the Port on Wednesday where a cargo volume of 0.121 million tonnes, comprises 0.085 million tonnes imports and 0.035 million tonnes exports, inclusive containerized cargo carried in 2,636 containers (1,292 imports and 1,344 exports TEUs) were handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
Two ships, edible oil vessel Bom Chin and oil tanker 'Karachi' sailed out to sea on Thursday (today) morning, while three more ships, container ships CMA CGM Chopon and CMA CGM Latour and Bulk cargo carrier Sonoma are expected to sail on same day afternoon.
Five ships C.V Saigon Express, C.V City of Beijing, M.V Ismail Deeb, M.V Fisher-D and MV Shan Dong Hai Tong scheduled to load/offlood containers, 54,000 tonnes cement and 52,447 tonnes fertilizer are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and Grain & Fertilizer Terminal respectively on Thursday, while two more ships C.V Asian Trader and C.V MSC Namibia are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Friday.
