Shipping activity at Port Qasim

Meanwhile another ship Bow Eagle with palm oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim on same day.

Berth occupancy was maintained at the Port at 29% on Sunday where four ships namely C.V MSC Jade, M.V Sonoma, M.T Genie and M.T Harsanadi occupied berths to load/offload containers, canola seeds, furnace oil and chemicals during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 54,438 tonnes, comprising 50,752 tonnes of imports and 3,686 tonnes of exports, inclusive containerized cargo carried in 214 containers (2O imports and 194 exports TEUs) were handled during the period.

Three ships C.V MSC Jade, M.T Harsanadi and M.T Genie sailed out to sea during last 24 hours.

Three ships C.V Maersk Montana, M.T AI-Salam-II and M.T Bow Eagle carrying containers, diesel oil and palm oil are expected to take berths at QICT, FOTCO and LCT respectively on Monday.

Four ships C.V Hanjin Venezia, C.V Hanjin Elizabeth, CV Sealand Michigan and M.T Ambelof carrying containers and furnace oil are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Tuesday, while three more ships CV CMA CGM Latour, C.V CMA CGM Chopan and M.V Star Sea Cosmos with containers and iron ore are due to arrive on Wednesday.
