Shipping activity at Port Qasim

Meanwhile anchorage chemicals carrier M.T Harsanadi also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was maintained at the Port at 71% on Tuesday where ten ships namely C.V Nedlloyd Mercator, C.V Najran, C.V Sealand Washington, M.V Sapphire-II, M.V AMS Pegasus -III, M.V Hector-II, M.V SFL Kent, M.V Outrivalling- 2, M.T Fuji Galaxy and M.T Olympic Serenity are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, corn, rice, palm oil and furnace oil during last 24 hours.

Cargo handling was achieved at the Port where a cargo volume of 119,479 tonnes, comprises 62,668 tonnes imports and 56,811 tonnes exports, inclusive containerized cargo carried in 3,830 containers (1,7030 imports and 2,127 exports TEUs) were handled at the Port during lost 24 hours.

Two ships, C.V Najran and C.V Sealand Washington sailed out to sea on Wednesday morning while two more Ships C.V Nedlloyd Mercator and M.V Hector are expected to sail on same day afternoon.

Three ships C.V CMA CGM Verdi, M.T Camelot and M.T Harsanadi carrying containers, LPG and chemical are expected to take berths at QICT, SSGC and EVTL respectively on Wednesday, while another ships C.V Belgica is due arrive at Port Qasim on Thursday.
