ISLAMABAD: Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) has expressed its heartfelt condolence and grief on the recent earthquake in Iran and decided to offer maximum support/assistance to the Iranian people.

According to the announcement of the FPCCI on Saturday, the earthquake that recently hit Tabriz city killing more than 300 people was unfortunate and Pakistanis standby Iranian brethren in this moment of test, said Tariq Sayeed, former president FPCCI during a visit to the office of Iranian Consul General.

Tariq Sayeed who is also Chairman of the Pakistan Iran Business Council of FPCCI said that we will offered all moral and material support to the Iranian people in helping them overcome their suffering.

Other business leaders who accompanied him included Sultan A. Chawla, former President FPCCI, Zubair Tufail, former VP FPCCI, Waheed Shah, and Mir Nasir Abbas, Director General, FPCCI.

The delegation expressed their solidarity with the people of Iran and sincere sorrow on the loss of life and property. They assured the Consul General that the hearts of the business community of Pakistan were them in this time of sorrow.

The Consul General of Iran Abbas Ali Abdollahi expressed his gratitude and said that the solidarity and generosity shown by the Pakistani business community’s would go a long way in helping deal with this tragedy.
