Overload debuts to Hollywood

17 Aug, 2012

The Hollywood film is based on Pakistani writer Mohsin Hamid’s novel. It casts Keifer Sutherland, Kate Hudson and Riz Ahmed and is due to open the Venice Film Festival on August 23.

“It feels great the composition has been picked up by a film of this caliber. It shows that Pakistan music is a crowed puller,” said Farhad Humayun who is the producer and lead drummer.

The band charged an undisclosed amount of money for the track to the producer Lydia Pilcher of Cine Mosaic.

Farhad Humayun reportedly discussed the possibility of future collaborations in New York last week.

The band was formed in 2003 and has released two studio and live albums.

Overload is preparing to play live across Japan and Singapore later this year.
