KARACHI: The profit after tax of Clariant Pakistan Limited has increased to Rs 571.079 million in the half year period ended June 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 419.987 million earned in the corresponding period in 2011.

The board of directors of the company in its meeting held here on Tuesday declared that the company’s earning per share has increased to Rs 16.74 in the period under review against Rs 12.31 in the same period last year.

According to the financial results sent to Karachi Stock Exchange, the company’s net sales increased to Rs 5.094 billion in this period against Rs 4.602 billion in the same period last year. The cost of goods sold increased to Rs 3.691 billion against Rs 3.481 billion.

The company’s profit before taxation increased to Rs 792.713 million in the half year period this year against Rs 583.119 million in the same period last year.
