Meanwhile three more ships with containers and palm oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was managed at the Port at 43% on Monday where six ships namely C.V Maersk Georgia, M.V Salta, M.V Cape, M.T Chemroad Dita, M.T Kaimon Galaxy and M.T Mako are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, canola seeds, palm oil, phosphoric acid and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Cargo handling operation were carried out efficiently at the Port where a cargo volume of 108,043 tonnes comprises 89,773 tonnes imports and 18,270 tonnes exports, inclusive containerized cargo carried in 1,308 containers (362 imports and 946 exports TEUs) were handled during last 24 hours.
Containers ship Maersk Georgia sailed out to sea on Tuesday morning. while another ship M.T Chemroad Dita is expected to sail on same day afternoon.
Four ships C.V Nedlloya Drake C.V Sealand Washington, C.V Hanjin Elizabeth and M.T STX Jaguar carrying containers and palm oil are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and liquid Terminal respectively on Tuesday, 10th July while another ship C.V CMA CGM Eiffel is due to arrive at Port Qasim on Wednesday. 11th July, 2012.
