Power shortfall surges to 4,870MW

LAHORE: Power shortfall surged again to 4870MW, resulting into 12 to 18 hours load shedding in all big and small cities including Lahore. There was no tangible improvement in power supply despite tall claims of the NTDC and power consumers had no option but to bear with the situation. Power generation stood at 12,844MW against a demand of 17,714MW, leaving the system with a total shortfall of 4,870MW.
