The Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting General (R) Asim Saleem Bajwa infirmed that the work on the Suki Kinari Hydel Power Project remains unaffected despite the COVID-19 pandemic, and has been 50 percent completed.

In a tweet post, Bajwa, who also serves as the Chairman of CPEC Authority informed that the work on 874 MW Suki Kinari-KP Hydel Power Project is in full swing at Kunhar River. Bajwa added that the project is being built at an investment of $1.963bn and would create 4250 job opportunities, and would also bring down the cost of electricity down as well.
