Pakistan commerce ministry has operationalized the Gwadar Port for Afghan transit trade under Afghanistan–Pakistan Transit Trade Agreement-2010 (APTTA), informed Advisor to Prime Minister on Commerce Abdul Razzak Dawood on Tuesday. The advisor in a series of tweets informed that the shipments of sugar, fertilizer, and wheat will be transported in sealed trucks to Afghanistan. In this regard, 16000 Metric Tons (MT) of DAP and WFP cargo of 500,000MT of wheat for Afghanistan will arrive next month. “Ships from China will also offload at Gwadar,” he said.
