LAHORE: The Pakistan Railways Loco Shed Employees union’s four-hour token strike continued on the eighth fourteenth consecutive day, on Saturday.
The employees shouted slogans against the government, Railways Minister and other authorities for not considering their genuine demands.
Protesting workers also did not allow any locomotive to move from the shed, which disrupted the train traffic.
Talking to newsmen, union’s secretary Inayat Gojra informed according to authorities a summary containing employees demands had been sent to the Finance Ministry for approval.
However, he vowed to continue the ongoing token strike till an official notification was not issued in this regard. Otherwise, he warned that a countrywide wheel-jam strike would be observed on May 29, 2012.
