On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,498.
The traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 10.061 billion and the number of lots traded was 12,947.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 5.185 billion, followed by DJ PKR 1.938 billion, NSDQ 100 PKR 974.169 million, currencies through COTS PKR 650.504 million, crude oil PKR 395.604 million, silver PKR 335.433 million, SP500 PKR 243.395 million, platinum PKR 133.578 million, copper PKR 90.255 million, Brent crude oil PKR 44.838 million, Japan equity PKR 40.998 million and natural gas PKR 28.154 million.
In agriculture commodities 2 lots of wheat amounting to PKR 9.248 million, 20 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 8.659 million and one lot of soybean amounting to PKR 7.147 million were traded.
