Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif announced has his party's decision to donate 10,000 protective kits to the medical association.

In a tweet from his official Twitter handle on Tuesday, the Leader of the opposition in the National Assembly said that these kits have been approved by Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan. The PML-N president further said that the government needs to look for all possible sources for equipment, testing kits and protective gears on the war-footing basis and airlift them from anywhere it can procure them.

"We need to give our medical professionals a sense of safety as they treat coronavirus patients," Sharif tweeted.

Sharif also called on the government to immediately make the coronavirus testing free. "The poor and underprivileged sections of society, already crushed under the weight of inflation, are not in a position to pay for the costlier test," he said.
