Steps afoot to set up quarantine centres: DC Hyderabad

To take precautionary measures against Coronavirus in the Hyderabad Division, Labour Department's 1504 flats at Hosri near bypass Hyderabad and 512 flats at Kotri Jamshoro would be made quarantine centers and provision of electricity, gas and other required facilities would also be ensured there. It was decided in a meeting held on the directives of Chief Minister Sindh under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Hyderabad Mohammed Abbas Baloch at his camp office today.

The Divisional Commissioner directed the deputy commissioners of the division to conduct survey and establish quarantine center without delay. He directed the officers of Hesco, SSGC and other concerned officers to provide basic facilities in the quarantine centers.

He also directed for making better cleanliness and sanitizers' arrangements in quarantine centers. Deputy Commissioners nominate focal person to ensure required facilities in the quarantine centers and implementation on contingency plan, he directed.

Baloch underlined the need of implementation on the health advisory in offices in letter and spirit. He said government schools and other government buildings if needed could also be made quarantine centers. He said that emergency had been declared in the country and in such circumstances no negligence of officers and staff government departments would tolerated.

The DC Hyderabad Aisha Abro and DC Jamshoro Captain Fareeduddin Mustafa (R) informed the meeting about measures taken by them regarding Coronavirus in their districts.
