The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is mulling to halt all night flight operations at all airports across the country, it was learnt here on Wednesday.

As per reports, the development is part of CAA’s cost cutting measures, under which flight operations will be closed from 12am to 6am to save extra costs.

In this regard, the Civil Aviation Authority has also sent a letter to all airlines operating in the country.

In the letter sent by the CAA, the authority states that electricity prices have risen in recent years. The rise in electricity prices had put an additional burden on the Civil Aviation Authority, which is why it has been decided to curtail flight operations at all airports in Pakistan.

However, it is not currently known when the decision will be implemented. It is likely that the decision to halt night flight operation will be implemented soon after the government's approval.
