Following the steps of Youtube, the social media platform Facebook has opened another earning opportunity for its users. Facebook will now ask its users for their voice recordings and they will be paid in return.

As per Verge, Facebook is currently working on a project called "Pronunciation" with is part of its Viewpoints research app. Under this project Facebook would ask its users to provide their voice recordings, which will be used to improve its voice recognition systems.

It is pertinent to inform that Viewpoints is the same app that Facebook launched to reward people for participating in its social media surveys.

According to the report, Facebook will give 200 points to the user for completing each set voice record, and at the completion of 1000 points, they will be able to receive $5.

Five dollars may not sound much, but it is better than nothing.

The project will be currently launched in the United States and people over the age of 18 with 75 or more friends can participate in it.
