Pakistan has finally commenced the process of standardising its auto sector, announced Federal Minister for Science and Technology Chaudhry Fawad Hussain on social media. “Pakistan has initiated to make major reforms into standards, and after food and electronics, vehicles made in Pakistan will now be included in the standard system,” said Chaudhry in a tweet. Earlier, it was learnt that car sales in the month of January, 2020 stood at 10,095 units, showing a 48 percent sales decline as compared to 19,353 units sold in the same period last year.
