A delegation of the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) will meet Ansar Majeed Khan, Provincial Minister for Labor and Human Resources soon to discuss the issues relating to the upgradation of PESSI Hospital Madina Town in addition to the provision of enhanced medical facilities to secured industrial of Faisalabad.
Addressing the first meeting of the Monitoring and Advisory Board of PESSI Hospital, Rana Sikandar Azam, President FCCI said that Faisalabad is third largest city of Pakistan. It has industrial base which is sprawling throughout the width and breadth of Faisalabad.
He told that there is only one major hospital in Madina Town Faisalabad although there are number of social security dispensaries in various industrial clusters of the city.
"We must fully refurbish these dispensaries so that industrial workers living in different areas could get medical facilities at their doorstep." He assured Medical Superintendent that he will also contact concerned government officials for the immediate recruitment of specialist doctors in addition to getting necessary medical equipment for the Madina Town Hospital. He requested the Medical Superintendent to invite Board members in every important event so that they would effectively plead their issues with concerned government officials.
Shahid Ahmed Sheikh, Chairman FCCI Standing Committee on Social Security donated two LEDs and requested that the board meeting must be held with regular periodicity in order to review the overall performance of hospital and suggest immediate measures to further improve the hospital environ.
Earlier Medical Superintendent, Dr Ejaz Mumtaz Sheikh told that the upgradation of Hospital is in progress while 16 dialysis machines are also in the pipeline to provide this facility to the secured industrial workers.
He briefed the board about the overall cleanliness situation, facilitation to the patients, provision of medicines and other related issues.
