  • SRK said he has taught his children to identify themselves as 'Hindustan'.
  • We are Indians, we have no religion and shouldn't have one either, he said.

‘King of Bollywood’ Shah Rukh Khan has opened up about his faith during an Indian reality TV show recently and said that his family is only ‘Indian’ and doesn’t have any religion.

On the sets of Dance Plus 5, SRK celebrated three years of success of his film ‘Raees’. The superstar played the role of a Muslim in the film. Speaking about his religion in real life, he said, “There is no such thing as Muslim-Hindu between us [family] as we have never discussed religion at home. I am a Muslim and my wife is Hindu and our children are Indians.”

He also recounted an incident from when Suhana was young and inquired about her religion. “When my children went to school, we had to fill in the religion section. My daughter asked me once 'Papa, what is our religion?' and I wrote we are Indian, we have no religion and shouldn't have one either,” he added.

This is not the first time SRK has said that no religion is imposed inside his house. He has said in many interviews that every religion is welcomed in his house and they celebrate all festivals.
