Abrar ul Haq’s latest wedding song ‘Chamkeeli’ has been in hot water soon after its release. A complaint has been filed in civil court for disrespectful lyrics towards both the genders.

A petitioner filed a complaint at a civil court on Wednesday seeking a ban on Haq's latest song. The complainant stated in the petition that the song insulted both men and women.

The petition, submitted by lawyer Rana Adnan Asghar stated that the song is promoting a disrespectful attitude for men and women and therefore, it should be removed from YouTube. He also wants the singer to apologise for the song, local media reported.

The hearing of the case has been adjourned till December 21.

The song which was released earlier this month, featuring Mehwish Hayat and YouTuber Shahveer Jafry. The track is light-hearted and fun which shows Mehwish as Chamkeeli, an excited bride who is clearly very happy on her big day.
