PTCL & Taiwan IT giant to launch safe city project in Faisalabad

A community based safe city project will be launched in Faisalabad in collaboration with Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited and a Taiwan IT giant. Umar Farooq Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab on sports and youth affair visited Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) and discussed the modalities of this proposed pilot project with Rana Sikandar Azam, President FCCI.

He said that west has been utilizing artificial intelligence to improve the law and order situation in addition to improving the governance. He said that digital cameras are used to monitor the activities of various persons with specific objectives.

"No one could deny the authenticity of various events as video cameras have recorded proofs", he said and told that in the presence of cameras no one can tell a lie and hence, we must introduce this system to bring a qualitative improvement in the overall behavior of our coming generations.

Rana Sikandar-e-Azam President FCCI underlined the importance of peaceful and congenial environment for the economic growth of any city and said that we must maintain peace by utilizing video cameras coupled with artificial intelligence.
