Watch Disney's first official trailer of live-action ‘Mulan’

Disney debuted on Thursday the first full length trailer for its forthcoming live-action version of Mulan.

The trailer opens with Mulan being told ‘your job is to bring honor to the family’. When word arrives about northern invaders led by Bori Khan, who fights alongside a witch, Mulan's father steps forward to fight. We see Mulan in tears, until she takes it upon herself to take his place.

She practices using the sword, saying it is her duty to protect her family. We see her go into battle disguised as a man and fighting the witch, who tells her, “When they find out who you are, they will show you no mercy”.

The trailer generated excitement and nostalgia on social media. The film is due for release in March 2020, is a remake of the 1998 Disney cartoon.
