MoI&P to brief Cabinet about CCP, USC today

Ministry of Industries and Production is all set to give briefing to federal cabinet on Tuesday (today) about Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) and Utility Stores Corporation (USC).

To be presided over by Prime Minister, Imran Khan, the cabinet will discuss economic situation of the country and progress in interaction with the opposition with respect to amendment in Army Rules meant to give extension to the Army Chief. The commodity prices will also come under discussion.

The prime minister, will take his cabinet colleagues into confidence on recent massive reshuffle in the bureaucracy, especially in the Punjab.

Other agenda items of the cabinet will be as follows: (i) ratification of the decisions taken by the ECC in its meeting held on November 27, 2019; (ii) ratification of the decision taken by the Cabinet Committee on Privatisation (CCoP) on November 15, 2019; (iii) application of Pakistan Essential Services(Maintenance) Act1952 to the Employees of Pakistan Security Printing Corporation (PSPC) and Security Papers Limited (SPL) Karachi; (iv) approval of J&K State Property budget for financial year 019-20; (v) establishment of juvenile Courts in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) under Juvenile System Act, 2018; (vi) appointment of date for enforcement of the Letters of Administration and Succession Certificates Ordinance, 2019(XVI of 2019), amendment in Enforcement of Women's Property Rights Ordinance, 2019(XVII of 2019); and ( viii) appointment of Member (Water) and Member (Power) Wapda on current charge basis.
