Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Shipping activity remained brisk at the Port during last 24 hours, where two ships carrying containers and diesel oil were allotted berth at Qasim International Containers Terminal and FOTCO Terminal on Wednesday, 25.

Meanwhile four more ships scheduled to load/offload containers, chemical and furnace oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 55 percent at the Port on Thursday where total number of six ships namely CGM Billini, MV. Elicia, Mercy Wisdom, MV. Hawk, AL Soor II and Argent Iris are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, steel coil, diesel oil and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 80243 tonnes comprising 67904 tonnes imports and 12339 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 775 Containers (Boxes) was handle at the Port during last 24 hours.
