ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information Technology, Raja Pervez Ashraf on Tuesday said his first and foremost effort would be to spread IT network in every corner of the country including far off areas of Gilgit-Baltistan.
In an interactive session with officials of Ministry here, he said it was a big challenge for him to take the task to uplift the IT Division.
He said E-governance is our future and added the government would try its utmost to introduce this innovative system in almost all sectors of Pakistan and CDA would be made first model.
The Minister said his main focus would be on timely completion of policies of IT. He said the government is fully committed to launch various pilot projects of E-governance and computerization of entire revenue system including Patwarkhanas.
Pervez Ashraf also held an interactive session with heads of various attached departments of the Ministry, who briefed him about performance of their departments.
Addressing the officers, he stressed the need that alongwith various under progress schemes, new projects should be launched and these should be completed on priority.
About the auction of 3-G licenses, he said, he would try to ensure their timely and fair auction.
