Days before the opening of the Kartarpur Corridor, hoardings hailing Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and Indian politician Navjot Singh Sidhu for the corridor have surfaced in Amritsar, India.
The posters credit PM Khan and the former Indian cricketer Sidhu for the opening of the corridor - the inauguration for which will take place on November 9. "Navjot Singh Sidhu and Imran Khan are the real heroes for opening Kartarpur Corridor," the posters read.
These hoardings were put up by Amritsar Municipal Councillor Harpal Singh Verka, who is known to be close to Sidhu, India Today reported.
PM Khan had sent a formal invitation to Sidhu on November 4, asking him to attend the inaugural ceremony of the Kartarpur Corridor on November 9.
