Nawaz condition still serious: sources

While the medical board constituted for the treatment of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif continued consultations on the 9th day of his treatment at Services Hospital, the condition of the PML-N supremo is still serious.

Sources claimed that Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday underwent gums bleeding treatment. Nawaz was moved to the concerned section of hospital from his ward. His teeth filling was carried out due to bleeding, doctors said.

The sources claimed that the medical board reviewed medical reports of former premier and suggested some changes in treatment. The board also focused on kidney and heart diseases of Nawaz Sharif while his platelets are stated to reach the level of 39,000.

The sources said that medical board is doing its best to provide best medical care to the former premier but it is worried over deterioration of one disease when treatment of other disease is carried out.

The sources close to Sharif family confirmed that Dr Adnan shared medical reports of Nawaz Sharif with doctors at London who are likely to give their opinion in a day or so.

A senior doctor on the condition of anonymity said that the treatment was given to Nawaz Sharif in the light of his diagnosis; but the problem is that he (Nawaz) is facing multiple diseases. On the other hand, the PML-N is critical of the PTI government for doing politics over Nawaz Sharif's health. PML-N senior leader Khawaja Asif had already said the party had decided not to "force" him (Nawaz) to go abroad for treatment. "Nawaz Sharif's condition is serious. It will only be the decision of Mian Sahib about going abroad for treatment. We will not push him," he said.

Moreover, the meeting that was expected between Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and ex-Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at Services Hospital could not be held. The sources claimed that doctors didn't allow Fazlur Rehman to meet former PM due to his health condition.

Maulana Fazl in is his address at Minar-e-Pakistan before leaving to Islamabad prayed for health recovery of Nawaz Sharif.
