ROTTERDAM: Soymeal on the European meals and feeds market firmed on Friday following CBOT soymeal futures on hopes for good export demand for US soybeans and because of a weak dollar.
* "The market rose with Chicago but buyers on the cash market were mostly cautious with poor margins and little business was seen ahead of the weekend," one broker said.
* South American soymeal was offered between $1 and $2 tonne up from Thursday following stronger CBOT soymeal futures.
* Argentine high protein soymeal changed hands at $498 a tonne cif Rotterdam and Oct/Dec fetched $474 cif.
* Most other products were offered flat to a little up from Friday following the firmer trend in soymeal, but gains were limited by easier rapeseed futures and a weak dollar, which weighs on euro-priced products.
* Buyers showed little interest and no deals were reported.
