Turkish central bank to hold 5bn lira

ISTANBUL: The Turkish Central Bank on Friday will hold a one-month repo auction maturing on May 18 with a volume of 5 billion lira ($2.79 billion), bank data showed.

The bank also said it will hold a one-week repo auction with a volume of 6 billion lira.

The one-month repo auction will be held by the standard auction method, according to which banks tell the central bank the amount they want and the interest rate they are ready to pay.

The amount of one-week repo maturing on April 20 stands at 7 billion lira while the amount of maturing one-month repo stands at 5 billion lira.
