LONDON: Europe's main stock markets steadied at the start of trading on Tuesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.21 percent at 5,654.54 points.
Frankfurt's DAX 30 added a marginal 0.01 percent to 6,625.71 points, while in Paris the CAC 40 drifted 0.02 percent lower to 3,204.74.
