KARACHI: Pakistan and the United States will sign an agreement for provision of $110 million to the former on Monday in Islamabad, Aaj News reported.

The agreement will be signed by Secretary Economic Affairs Division Dr Waqar Masood and US Ambassador to Pakistan Cameron Munter on behalf of their respective countries.

The money will be used for border security management, anti-narcotics activities and reforms in police department.

The agreement is being signed after the recent parliaments’ recommendations regarding new terms of engagement with the US, which indicates the strained relations between the two allies in the ongoing war on terror are moving towards normalcy.
