KARACHI: At least nine people were injured in different firing incidents in the city on Wednesday, rescue sources said.
They said four people including two women were injured after coming into firing range of two criminal gangs near New Golimar, Rizvia Society.
The injured were identified as Wahid, 25, s/o Rashid, Farid, 30, s/o Siddique, Shehnaz wife of Riaz and 40-year-old Khair-un-Nissa. They were rushed to Abbsi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, three persons were injured in firing of unidentified persons at Khada Market, Niyaabad, Lyari area. The injured were identified as Nakash, 20, s/o Mazhar, Ghulam Rasool, 30, s/o Muhammad Hussain and Faizan, 18, s/o Abdul Rehman.
In separate incident, two young men, 22-year-old Noor Shahwar s/o Haider and 25-year-old Muhammad s/o Abdullah were wounded by firing of unknown persons near Dua Hotel, Maripur area. The all wounded were rushed to Civil Hospital Karachi by volunteers of Chhipa and Edhi ambulance.
