  • Kenyan shilling strengthened against the dollar on Friday supported by inflows from diaspora remittances and waning dollar demand from the energy sector.

At 0845 GMT, commercial banks quoted the shilling at 103.70/90 per dollar, compared with 103.80/104.00 at Thursday's close.
