SEOUL: The South Korean won fell on Monday to its lowest in a week and a half, weighed down by weaker-than-expected US March employment data and worries about a potential North Korea nuclear test.

The won was quoted at 1,138.4 to the dollar at 0025 GMT, compared with Friday's close of 1,131.7.

Seoul shares were down 1.1 percent at 2,006.06.
