The deadline to submit offers is Oct. 6, they said.

The grain can be supplied from any worldwide origin except Israel.

Offers are sought on CIF liner out price terms for shipment to the ports of Chittagong and Mongla. These terms include a range of port unloading costs for the seller.

Shipment is sought 40 days after the date on which the contract is signed.

The country's last reported wheat deal on July 30 showed that Bangladesh purchased 100,000 tonnes of wheat from Russia in an inter-state agreement.
