Senate passes twenty seven government, four private bills

ISLAMABAD: The Senate has passed twenty seven government, four private bills during the last three months of the current year.

According to Senate official, the Senate has received as many 50 adjournment motions. Eight resolutions were passed while 16 privilege motions have also been handed over to the respective committee.

A total of 16 adjournment motions have also been handed over to the concerned committee.

Likewise, seven bills were passed by the National Assembly during last 90 days but the bills failed to get approval of Senate even with amendments.

A total of 35 bills have become act of parliament after Out of a total of 186 adjournment motions, 8 have been passed, and discussions were held on 10 adjournment motions.

130 Calling Attentions Notices were received and seven concerned ministries gave statement on the calling attention notices. This year a total of 173 resolutions were received out of which 8 resolutions were accepted by the august house.
