KARACHI: One ship carrying containers was allotted berth at Qasim International Containers Terminal on Wednesday, April 4, 2012. Meanwhile four more ships scheduled to load/offload containers, diesel oil and furnace oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 25% at the Port on Thursday where total number of three ships namely MV.Buxhlll, Ikaruga and MV. Yamamah are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers and chemical respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 40,507 tonnes, comprising 29,041 tonnes imports and 11,466 tonnes exports was handle, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1555 containers (Boxes) at the Port during last 24 hours.
