Rs6bn allocated for micro finance scheme

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Barrister Arshad Abdullah on Wednesday disclosed that about Rs. 6 billion has been allocated for provision of employment under micro finance scheme to people.

Under this scheme, loan would be provided to traditional artisan and other skillful persons under Bacha Khan Employment scheme. He was addressing a workshop under the aegis of Livelihood Strengthening Programme here on Wednesday.

He said that the project launched by Sarhad Rural Support Programme (SRSP) was praiseworthy and played a key role in rehabilitation of the flood victims in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He also lauded the skill development and women education programmes of SRSP.
