Kashmir issue: Ayesha Omar questions Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor’s humanity

The ongoing tensions between Pakistan and India are getting intense while celebrities from both sides of the border are also speaking up on the issue. Pakistani actor Ayesha Omar is the latest who has expressed her disappointment towards Bollywood celebrities Priyanka Chopra and Sonam Kapoor for their stance on Indo-Pak conflict.

Calling out Priyanka and Sonam, Ayesha said, “First Priyanka Chopra’s dismissive stance and now Sonam Kapoor’s views. I’m appalled and disappointed to say the least. Are we actors not supposed to be ambassadors for peace? Where’s the sensitivity, empathy and humanity required to be an actor? Or just for being human?,” she wrote on Twitter.

Priyanka has been heavily criticized for promoting war despite being an UN ambassador to peace, while Sonam in a recent interview said she is very patriotic so she doesn’t want to comment and let this issue pass.

“It’s heartbreaking to see where the situation has landed right now and I’m very patriotic, so I think for me now it’s better to keep quiet and let this pass because even this too shall pass,” Sonam said.
