LONDON: European stocks steadied in opening trade on Tuesday, with London's FTSE 100 benchmark index of leading shares edging 0.09 percent higher to stand at 5,879.94 points.
In Paris, the CAC 40 added just 0.04 percent to 3,464.32 points, while Frankfurt's DAX 30 was almost flat at 7,053.91 points.
