Pakistan’s ambassador to the United Nations (UN) Maleeha Lodhi met UN Security Council President Joanna Wronecka to apprise her of the threat to regional peace by India's actions regarding Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK).

In a tweet on Wednesday, the ambassador said she briefed UN on Tuesday afternoon about India’s illegal actions in occupied Jammu and Kashmir and its violations of Security Council resolutions.

In another tweet, Lodhi said she has also handed Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood's letter to UN Secretary-General (UNSF). Qureshi had written to UNSG rejecting the illegal Indian annexation of occupied Jammu and Kashmir. In the letter, FM Qureshi also requested the Security Council to ensure full compliance of its own resolutions in IoK.
