IRSA releases 98,921 cusecs from rim stations

ISLAMABAD: The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Monday released 98,921 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 98,830 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, the water level in River Indus at Tarbela and in River Jhelum at Mangala had reached their dead levels of 1378 feet and 1040 feet respectively.

Water inflow in the Tarbela dam was recorded as 27,400 cusecs while out flow was recorded as 26,800 cusecs.

Similarly the inflow and outflow of water in Mangla dam was recorded 33,285 cusecs and 33,976 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded 32,846, 26,769 and 18,100 cusecs respectively.

Similarly, from River Kabul a total of 22,500 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 15,645 cusecs released from River Chenab at Marala.

Meanwhile, water inflow in all rivers is continuously improving due to shooting up mercury and melting of snow.
